NPP National Delegates Congress in Koforidua



The much-awaited National Delegates Conference of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) finally takes place today at the Koforidua Technical University.

About 6000 delegates go to the polls to elect new national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

The Conference will provide the platform for deliberations and resolutions on the Acting national chairman’s statement, the general secretary’s report, the national treasurer’s statement of account and other matters of interests.

This is how the Congress venue looked like on Congress Day.

•Banners with pictures of aspirants were erected on a walkway to the Congress venue.

•Party delegates and supporters started trooping in.

•Traders who deal in party paraphernalia showcased their goods.

•President Akufo-Addo arrived at the Conference grounds to a rousing welcome.

•Former President Kufuor was present and welcomed President Akufo-Addo.

•The three aspirants for the NPP Chairmanship position were present and seen exchanging pleasantries

•President Akufo-Addo exchanged pleasantries with members of other political parties.
